The District Grand Lodge of Sierra Leone & The Gambia (EC) is pleased to announce The Grand Masonic Journey 2026, a unique opportunity for Brethren to accompany the District Grand Master (DGM) on a series of official Masonic engagements across West Africa.

This journey represents far more than travel, it is an opportunity to strengthen the bonds of Freemasonry, foster regional cooperation, and experience the rich traditions of our sister jurisdictions.

Journey Itinerary

🇬🇭 Accra, Ghana

Date: Saturday, 12th September 2026

The first leg of the journey takes us to the vibrant city of Accra, where Brethren will engage with fellow Freemasons, participate in official Masonic activities, and reinforce the enduring ties between our District and the Grand Lodge of Ghana.

🇳🇬 Lagos, Nigeria

Date: Saturday, 10th October 2026

The second destination is Lagos, Nigeria's commercial capital and home to one of the largest Masonic communities in the region. This visit will provide an opportunity for fellowship, exchange of ideas, and participation in significant Masonic events.

🇬🇲 Banjul, The Gambia

Date: Saturday, 21st November 2026

The journey concludes in Banjul, The Gambia, where the District Grand Lodge of Sierra Leone & The Gambia (EC) will hold its Half-Yearly Convocation and Communication. This important event brings together Brethren from across the District to celebrate achievements, conduct official business, and reaffirm our shared commitment to the principles of Freemasonry.
