A distinguished delegation from the District Grand Lodges of Sierra Leone and The Gambia was honoured to participate in the celebrations marking the One Hundredth Anniversary of the Foundation of the English Constitution District Grand Lodge of Namibia and Damaraland Lodge No. 4758 E.C. The commemorative events culminated in a splendid Banquet held at the Stellenbosch Wine Bar & Bistro in Windhoek, Namibia.
The historic occasion brought together Brethren from various Constitutions and jurisdictions to celebrate a century of Masonic labour, dedication, and service to the Craft. The atmosphere was one of true Masonic fellowship, reflecting the enduring principles of Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth that unite Freemasons throughout the world.
Representing Sierra Leone and The Gambia were the District Grand Master of the District Grand Lodge of Sierra Leone and The Gambia, English Constitution, the Deputy District Grand Master of the District Grand Lodge of Sierra Leone and The Gambia, Scottish Constitution, and the Worshipful Master of The District Grand Stewards Lodge No 10087, whose presence demonstrated the strong fraternal ties that exist between the Districts and Constitutions.
They were joined by several distinguished Grand Lodge and District Grand Lodge Officers, who attended in support of the Brethren of Namibia and to share in this landmark celebration. Their participation highlighted the spirit of unity and cooperation that continues to strengthen the bonds of Freemasonry across borders and jurisdictions.
The centenary celebration provided an opportunity not only to reflect on the rich history and achievements of the District Grand Lodge of Namibia and Damaraland Lodge No. 4758 E.C., but also to reaffirm the values and traditions that have sustained the Craft for generations. Through fellowship, goodwill, and mutual respect, the Brethren celebrated a remarkable milestone while looking forward with confidence to the continued growth and prosperity of Freemasonry in the years ahead.
The presence of such distinguished Masonic leaders and officers from Sierra Leone, The Gambia, and beyond served as a fitting tribute to this historic occasion and exemplified the universal brotherhood that remains the cornerstone of the Craft.
May the Great Architect of the Universe continue to guide and bless the Brethren of Namibia, Sierra Leone, The Gambia, and all who labour in the service of Freemasonry throughout the world.
